Property
On 5 May 1838, John Wilsonyeoman of Salem entered an indenture agreement with his son Charles L. Wilson,manufacturer of Lowell, related to the disposal of John’s real property. Inconsideration of love and affection and several covenants, John conveyed toCharles L. the described parcels in Salem with all the buildings. The threedescribed pieces were intended to include all the estate that was conveyed toDavid N. Wilson (who was then deceased) from the estate of David Nevensdeceased on 15 June 1826. One additional parcel was included. For receipt ofthese deeds, Charles agrees to the following conditions. Charles is to pay toJohn Wilson, Jr. the amount of two notes on hand that John, Jr. holds againstJohn dated 28 April 1838, one note for one hundred dollars and the second notefor twelve hundred dollars. Within one year of the decease of John Wilson andAgnes Wilson his wife, Charles is to make payments to the children and heirs ofJohn Wilson. Alice Clark wife of Samuel Clark is to receive five dollars; MaryPhelps wife of Schuyler Phelps, one hundred dollars; Hannah Morrison, wife ofJoseph Morrison, one hundred dollars; Cynthia Maes wife of Jephthah Ames, fivedollars; Wheeler Wilson, four hundred dollars; and David Dresser son ofdaughter Nancy, fifty dollars when he arrives at age twenty-one.
