Jonathan and Isabel’s son William was the first settler in Haynesville, Aroostook County, Maine arriving there in 1828 from Somerset County. His father Jonathan and mother Isabel followed him there, and Jonathan and Isabel both died there. William Wilson and his father developed a farm property. After arriving, the Wilsons opened a house of entertainment1

On 2 February 1818, Jonathan Wilson gentleman of Camden, Lincoln County purchased 130 acres in Fairfield from John Todd of Ripley for payment of four hundred dollars. On the same day, Jonathan Wilson of Fairfield described as a husbandman sold this same 130-acre parcel to William Wilson of Fairfield for payment of four hundred dollars.1Somerset County Maine land index
