Notes
Biography
Barker genealogy has just the son Levi – says Nathan’s wife Susannah was Plummer – Levi is not followed in the Barker bookhttps://archive.org/details/barkergenealogyr00bark/page/310/mode/2up
There is a warning out on the Ancestry hints for Nathan for Deborah Plummer who is staying at Nathan’s house in 1815. A few mentions in History of Walden – but since Deborah Plummer is his mother that does not really help https://www.google.com/books/edition/A_History_of_Walden_Vermont/v24jAQAAMAAJ?hl=en&gbpv=1&bsq=%22nathan%20barker%22

Nathan’s elderly mother Deborah Merrill Barker Plummer resided with his family until at least 1820. On 11 December 1815, a “warning out” was issued for Deborah Plummer residing at the house of Nathan Barker in Walden.1

Property
Members of Nathan’s family were involved in multiple land transactions in Walden, several examples given here. On 18 January 1819, Narthan Barker of Walden entered an agreement with Azariah Boody of Goshen Gore in which Nathan transferred property valued at eight hundred dollars to Azariah in exchanged for Azariah providing support to Nathan Barker, Nathan’s wife Susannah, and Nathan’s mother Deborah Plummer during their natural lives in sickness and in health. This agreement was later rescinded. On 4 August 1814, Levi Barker of Walden, in a deed witnessed by Nathan Barker and Amanda Barker, sold property in Walden to Jesse Barker of Walden for payment of one hundred and eighty dollars. On 6 June 1821, Nathan Barker, in a deed witnessed by Amanda Barker and Anna Cole, conveyed to Henry Cole one-half of lot number one in the great lot number thirty-nine for payment of sixty dollars.1Walden deeds
