Sherburne later sold theproperty back to his father and Jesse conveyed the property to his son-in-lawThomas Taylor. On 12 November 1829, Jesse Barker yeoman of Hancock, inconsideration of fifteen hundred dollars, conveyed to Thomas Taylor of Ashby afarm in Hancock containing 170 acres, the farm occupied by Jesse and purchasedof Thomas Cochran in 1787 and in 1819 from Jonathan Nesmith and John Taylor.
