Family Services took Brent and Jake away from Gerianne because she was taking drugs and alcohol. Dee tried to raise them on his own but he was trucking and gambling. Jay and Dorothy adopted them in 2000. Dee and Geri are on the right path now and the kids are living with them again, although Jake still calls Jay and Dorothy Mom and Dad.
