Mrs. Otoupal was an expert seamstress and all the wedding gowns and "best" dresses of the ladies of a large territory were fashioned by her skillful fingers. Owning one of the first sewing machines in the community in pioneer days, she would be taken from home to home, with her sewing machine, to do the sewing for the family employing her.
