Immigration
Following her husband's death, Anna emigrated to the United States with six of her children. The passenger list for the ship Ohio, which arrived in Baltimore, Maryland from Bremen, Germany, on 23 June 1872. includes the following family group: Anna Koza, age 50; Franziska, 23; Antonia, 21; Caroline, 20; Franz, 15; Wenzl, 13; and Johann, 7. Her two oldest children immigrated separately with their families: Anna Chemelka in 1871 and Mary Otoupal in 1878.Endnotes
