Birth
She was named for Sara Alice Knerr, a cousin and good friend of Dulce Knerr Lehmann, Lucille's mother.Marriage
The family lived in Nebraska after Warren came home from the war from 1946 until February of 1948. They moved to Montana where Warren was a ranchhand at the VanHaur Ranch near Hilger, Montana, from 1948-1949. He became a General Mills grain elevator manager and the family lived in Coffee Creek and Benchland. The Wittgows moved to Lewistown in 1959, where Warren worked at the Farmers Union, then was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service until he retired.Endnotes
