Rosemary Aurelia Staberg, 89 Rosemary Aurelia Staberg, 89, of Bloomer, formerly of Hudson and Hammond, died Sunday, Jan. 11, at the Bloomer Medical Center.
Born July 14, 1914, in North Hudson, to Roy and Jane (Lombard) Kurrasch, she attended elementary school in North Hudson and graduated from Hudson High School in 1931.
Afterward, she attended St. Olaf’s College for stenography and worked as a stenographer in Eau Claire for Dr.
German’s office and in Washington state for Concurrent Computer.
On Aug. 11, 1938, she was married to Reuben Staberg at First Presbyterian Church in Hudson. Her hobbies included knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed music and sang with the St. Olaf Choir.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Reuben, in 1982; and a brother, George Kurrasch. Surviving are three children, Gloria (Steve) Walkley of Olympia, Wash., Lawrence (Ann) Staberg of Bellevue, Wash., and Jennifer (Tony) Prynch of Bruce; five grandchildren, Shayna, Jeff, Tony (Debra), Brian (Amy) and Chad; and a step-grandchild, Cathy (Steve).
A graveside funeral service will be Saturday, June 26, 11 a.m., at Willow River Cemetery with the Rev. David Liddle of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Memorials are preferred. O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson handled the arrangements.
