Stillman A. Tyler born in Lakeland, Sept. 28, 1856, died Feb. 29, 1932, at N.P. Hospital, St. Paul. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Edna Hugo of Hastings, one son Frank Tyler of Spokane, Wash., one brother, Henry C. Tyler of Lakeland, two sisters, Mrs. George Maroe of Billingham, Wash., Mrs. Nettie Holmes of Hersome Beach, California and four grandchildren. The larger portion of his life he lived in Lakeland, and was one of the few old settlers.
The funeral was held from the Congregational church on Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Harry Evans of the M.E. church of Hudson, officiating. Interment took place at Lakeview cemetery.

The death of Stillman's brother, Henry Tyler, was reported in the Lakeland news in June 1938.

This community was saddedned by the death of one of its oldest residents, Mr. Henry Tyler, on June 1st. Mr. Tyler, who was 87 years old, came to Lakeland at the age of three and has made his home here every since. He is survived by his son, Roy C. Tyler, two sisters, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death on February 20 of this year.
