Ingrid Knudson Howe, sister of Mrs. J. M. Engebretson of Hudson, died at her home in Martell, April 21.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kndson, and was born January 12, 1851, at South Odalen, Noeway. In 1878 she married John Howe, who preceded her in death two years ago. They came to America in 1881, settlig at Racine, where they lived for three years, coming to Martell in 1884.
To them six children were born, three of whom died. Surviving her are three sons, Joseph of Bellingham, Wash., Rev. Ben Howe, Rugby, N.D. and Melvin at home, besides a sister, Mrs. J. M. Engebretson of Hudson, and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
