Former Resident Buried at Hudson
Mrs. Emma Casanova, a former resident of Hudson, died at St. Joseph's home in Fairmont, Minn. on Feb. 25, less than a week after the death of her son, Frank Casanova.
Mrs. Casanova was born in Germany in 1869 and came to Stillwater at the age of nineteen. On October 28, 1890 she was united in marriage to Chris Casanova at Stillwater and shortly thereafter they moved to Hudson where they lived for many years.
Some years after the death of her husband in 1917, Mrs. Casanova moved to Winnebago, Minn., to live with her granddaughter, Mrs. Tony Tretter.
Mrs. Casanova is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mary Green, of Winnebago, one son, Joseph, of Stevens Point, and ten grandchildren, including Lawrence Moe of Hudson.
Funeral services were in St. Mary's Catholic church in Winnegago on Feb. 29 with the Rev. T. Derezinzki officiating at the Requiem Mass. Interment was in the St. Patrick's Catholic cemetery in Hudson, with Msgr. John M. Owens conducting the services.
