Mrs. Jos. C. Larsen, Ex-School Teacher Dies on Friday
Kathleen M. Larsen, 39, died Friday morning, Oct. 2 at her residence, 131 Seventh street, North Hudson after a brief illness.
Daughter of John and Katherine (Fable) Ryan, she was born in the town of Troy July 3, 1920.
She attended Oakridge rural school and graduated from Hudson high school in 1937 and Wisconsin State college at River Falls in 1941. She taught school in the outlying area.
On June 10, 1944 she was united in marriage to Joseph C. Larsen at St. Patrick's Catholic church in Hudson and has resided in North Hudson since 1947.
Besides her husband she is survived by two daughtrers: Joleen Mary and Monica Ann; three sons, Michael, Lawrence and James; her parents Mr. and Mrs. John P. Ryan of Hudson; five sisters, Patricia (Mrs. James Foy), Amery, Joan (Mrs. George Richie), Hudson, Shirley (Mrs. Frank Huser), New Richmond, Colleen (Mrs. Thomas Kealy), River Falls, and Miss Julianne Ryan of Hudson.
Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 5 at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic church with Msgr. John M. Owens officiating. Interment was in St. Patrick's Catholic cemetery.
Cousins served as pallbearers: Norbert Rohl of Roberts, Merrill Wink of Glenwood City, Lesley A. Falteisek of St. Paul and William Loughey, Carl Obermueeler and Richard Mann of Hudson.
Kramer Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
