Funeral services for Theodora (Dora Jordanger) Sangsland, 68, formerly of Hettinger, of Sacramento, CA, were held Wednesday, July 18, 1984, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Sacramento CA. She died Saturday, July 14, 1984.
She owned and operated a beauty shop in Hettinger for several years prior to moving to California 40 years ago. She retired as manager of the State Department of Motor Vehicles in Sacramento, where she was employed for 27 years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sacramento.
Theodora Jordanger and Elmer Sangsland were united in marriage April 12, 1940. He preceded her in death May 7, 1983.
She is survived by one daughter, Judith S. Walters, Sacramento, CA, and one son, Michael, Orangevale, CA, three sisters, Dolly Kelzer, Thomasville, GA; Alice Wolf, Plymouth, MN; and Ruth Brocker, Cincinnati, OH; and four brothers, Tony Jordanger, Pierpoint, SD; Roy Torguson, Willmar, MN; Andrew Torguson, Aberdeen, SD; and Arnold Torguson, Apple Valley, MN; and one grandchild.
The family requests any remberances be sent to St. John's Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
