Jeanette Anderson Weds Fred Riedel
Miss Jeanette Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Anderson of Hudson, and Mr. Frederick Riedel, also of Hudson, surprised their friends, when on Wednesday, October 22, they motored to St. Paul and were married. The ceremony took place at four o'clock at the Trinity Lutheran parsonage, Rev. A.C. Haase, officiating.
The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Gertrude Anderson, and the groom, by Mr. Harold Clark.
Mr. and Mrs. Riedel will make their home at the William Bonnes residence on Fifth and River Sts., after November 3rd.

Frederick Edward Riedel, 80, of 812 Ninth St., died Tuesday night, August 27, at the Christian Community Home where he had resided since November 1982 after suffering a stroke.
He was born in Nurnberg, Germany, Nov. 21, 1904, the son of Friedrich and Franziska Riedel.
He immigrated to the United States Sept. 25, 1925, coming directly to Hudson where he has since resided. He became an American citizen April 10, 1933.
On Oct. 22, 1930, in St. Paul, he was married to Jeanette Anderson who preceded him in death, April 19, 1985.
For 43 yers he was employed by Willow River Power Company and its successor, Northern States Power Company. He was a fireman and diesel engineer in the steam plant until it closed and then was a gas service representative up to his retirement in 1969.
He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church.
Surviving are a son, Paul, of Maple Grove, Minn.; a daughter, janice (Mrs. Aldon Forsythe) of 824 Elm St.; a brother in Germany and two sisters in Holland; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Besides his wife he was preceded in death by a brother.
Serivces were Friday, August 30, at Bethel Lutheran Church. Interment was in the family lot at Willow River Cemetery.
