Sidney Benoy, 70, Dies on Friday, Funeral Monday
Resident of Town of Hudson and St. Croix county for the past 33 years, died at his home last Friday morning, March 28, after a lingering illness.
He was born in Highland, Wis., on October 20, 1871, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Benoy, whose parents were among the earliest settlers of the southern part of Wisconsin. Mr. Benoy was married to Minnie Larson in August of 1896.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Alvin Hughes of Hudson, Wis., Mrs. Stanley Lewis of Roberts, Wis.,; seven sons: Marvin of Angus, Wis., Leon of Richland Center, Arthur, Clinton, Kenneth and Alton of Hudson, and Corp. Richard Benoy, who is serving in the U.S. Army; two brothers, Roscoe of Forest Lake, Minn., and Edwin of Genoa City, Wis.
