One of our loved residents pased away Tuesday morning at the nursing home, John Sorenson who had made his home with us for four years. It hasn't been long since Mr. Sorenson sang "Brother John" on one of our programs. We shall miss John, and his wife and family hve our sincere sympathy.

Services Today for John Sorenson
Services for John Sorenson, who died Tuesday, November 15 at the Battle Lake nursing home will be held today, Thursday, at the First Lutheran church at 11 a.m. with Pastor Glenn M. Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
John Lawrence, son of Lars and Ann Marie Sorenson, was born November 6, 1895, at Evan, Minn.
Following his marriage to Elna Dalluge, they farmed in several areas and then went to California where they resided for twenty years. They moved to Battle Lake in 1967, and for the past four years have made their home at the nursing home.
He is survived by his wife, five daughters, Phyllis (Mrs. K. L. Knudson) of Battle Lake, Betty (Mrs. Selmer Highdale) of Underwood, Deloris (Mrs. Vernon Kelly) and Shirley (Mrs. Howard Wilson), both of Santa Ana, California, and KayDonna (Mrs. Jack Phillips) of Yukka Valley, Calif.; a son Walton of Graettinger, Iowa; and 16 grandchildren.
