Mrs. Dan (Annie) Engstrom died Sunday, February 13 at the Hilltop Rest Home, Burkhardt, where she had been a patient for about three weeks. She was 89 years of age. Mrs. Engstrom was born February 2, 1866 in Sweden, coming to this country in 1882.
Surviving Mrs. Engstrom are a son, Albin, and a daughter, Pauline, both at home in Star Prairie. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive her. Mr. Engstrom preceded her in death several years ago.
Rev. Walter M. Abramson officiated Tuesday, February 15 when funeral services for Mrs. Engstrom were held at two o'clock in the Beebe Chapel where visitation was held Monday afternoon and evening. Interment was in Oakland cemetery, Star Prairie, and pallbearers were David Westberg, George Bergquist, George Satterlund, Rudolph Anderson, Arnold Brevold and Walter Brevold. L.H. and John W. Beebe were in charge of arrangements.
