Robert George Krattley

Robert G. Krattley, 52, of 3434 Surling Dr., R16, Box 62F, Springfield,Mo., died Monday, Dec. 29 of a massive stroke at Cox Medical Center in Springfield.
Krattley, son of Fabian and Alice (Montbriand) Krattley, was born March 22, 1928 in Stillwater. He attended school in Somerset.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in China and the Far East. For a number of years he was employed by the Guggemos Construction company in Hudson.
Later he went to San Diego to attend college where he received his degree. For several years he was employed in computer work with San Diego county.
He and his wife moved to Missouri about a year and a half ago.
Surving are his wife, Ardith; three sons, Mark, Brian and Daniel; a daughter Kathy, all of Springfield; and two stepdaughters, Nadine Phelps and Mrs. Cindy Bashaw, both of San Diego; four brothers, Douglas of Burkhardt,Thomas of Wayzata, Minn., Roger and Barney, both of Somerset and four
grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Krattley and Thomas and Barney Krattley attended the services in Springfield Friday. Burial was in the National Cemetery in Springfield.

Robert G. Krattley, 52, died Monday, Dec. 29 at Cox Medical Center, Springfield, Missouri, after a sudden illness.
He was born March 22, 1928 to Fabian and Alice Krattley of Somerset.
Survivors include his wife, Ardith; three sons, Mark, Brian and Daniel and one daughter, Kathy, all at home; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Cindy Bashaw and Ms. Nadine Phelps, both of California; four brothers, Douglas, Hudson; Thomas of Wayzata, Minn.; Roger of New Richmond and Barney of Somerset; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 2 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Springfield, with Rev. Thomas E. Reidy officiating. Interment was in the National Cemetery, Springfield.
According to Doug and Joan Krattley, Robert was married three times. His first wife, who was a Kluedtke (sp?) died of asphyxiation. She had been out earlier in the evening, left the car running in the garage, got her pillow and an alarm clock and went to sleep. He found her in the morning after her work called looking for her.
His second wife had entered a convent (medical order) but left after a year or so. They had known each other prior to her entering the convent. They had two boys, Mark and Brian. Joan thought she died from cancer.
