Mrs. Susie Ells Schoemaker, for many years a resident of Hudson, passed quietl away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alfred Hoyer, on Sunday, April 13. Mrs. Scoemaker was born in New York July 24, 1842. At the age of eight years she moved with her family to Racine. In 1864 she was married to Garret Schoemaker.
For many years she was an active member of the Eastern Star and the W.R.C., a faithful servant in St. Pauls Episcopal church, which she dearly loved, a devoted mother, and a kind friend and neighbor.
She is survived by four children: Mrs. F. W. Rudow, Tacoma, Wash., Mrs. G. A. Lyon, Estherville, Iowa; Ira Schoemaker of Mason City, Iowa, and Mrs. Alfred Hoyer of Hudson.
