Ole Larson Floren born the 14th of February, 1836, Storfloren, Hegre clerical district, Upper Stjordalen, Norway. Dorthea born Voldness the 2nd of February, 1850, Meraker, Norway. They came here in the beginning of the 80's and located on John O. Langness' farm 3 miles south of Baltic. There were 3 children in the family: Ole, Nelberg, Gerda (dead). Ole was one at that time's idea of a good fiddler on the violin, and could play on and off key violin; something which seldom was done, except by fiddlers on the Hardanger violin. He was during the winter occupied in repairing horse saddles and went therefore from farm to farm, but the violin had to go along, and then it was often a concert in the evening. Ole died the 3rd of May, 1904, and Dorthea the 25th of December, 1924.
