Anna Lou Rivard Bride of Leslie R. Lindstrom
An unusually beautiful wedding took place the morning of August 20 when Ann Lou Rivard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Prosper Rivard, of Somerset, became the bride of Leslie Robert Lindstrom, of Hudson.
The cermony took place at St. Anne's Church, at Somerset, with Rev. Fr. Mee of Hammond, officiating. During the offertory the bride's aunt, Mrs. Ann St. Clair, sang Schubert's "Ave Maria" and with Ernest Belisle, sang "On This Day O Beautiful Mother."
The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, preceded by her junior bridesmaid, three bridesmaids and a maid of honor. She wore a princess gown of brocaded satin with double rufles of tulle, long sleeves and a wide full train. Her lace veil fell softly from a tiara of seed pearls, a gift of the groom. She carried a shower bouquet of white roses.
Maid of honor was her sister, LaVonne Rivard. She wore blue brocaded satin edged with a full ruffle of tulle, with a tulle head piece in pompom style in the same color. She carried a large bow shaped bouquet of flowers in various colors.
Junior bridesmaid was another sister, Eldonna Rae Rivard. She wore pink brocaded satin with tulle riffle and headpiece of the same color. She and other bridesmaids carried hearts of flowers. The three bridesmaids, Maxine Lindstrom, Lorraine Radke and Anna Mare Trombley, wore pink brocaded and tulle fashioned dresses in the same style as that of the maid of honor and the junior bridesmaid. the bride's mother wore pink with white accessories. The groom's mother wore a jersey print with white accessories. Both wore corsages of gladioli and tiny pink rosebuds.
Best man was Lowell Rivard. The ushers were Douglas Rivard, Burt Rivard, Edmond Bruchu and Edmond Germain.
A wedding breakfast was served in the Paradise Room of the Grand Cafe, in Stillwater, to about 50 close relatives of the bride and groom. An informal reception for relatives and intimate friends was held in the afternoon at the Rivard home on Landing Hill. . .
The bride, a graduate of Somerset high school and St. Anne's parochial school, has been employed at the office of Dr. Paul Font in Stillwater.
The groom attended Hudson high school and River Falls Teachers College and is employed by the Omaha railroad at Hudson.

Anna Lou Lindstrom, 60, died Sunday, July 2, at her home in St. Joseph Township.
She was born Nov. 12, 1928, the daughter of Prosper and Evelyn Rivard.
In 1947 she was married to Leslie R. Lindstrom and they were divorced in 1988.
Surviving are five sons, David of Stillwater, Randy, Daniel, James and John, all of Houlton; four daughters, Mrs. Joe (D'Ann) Dulon of Hudson, Mrs. Ken (Bonnie) Parent of Somerset, Mrs. Cary (Debra) Brown of St. Joe, Ark., and Mrs. Todd (Mary Beth) Johnson of St. Joseph Township; three brothers, Lowell and Douglas Rivard, both of Somerset, and Burt Rivard of Stillwater; three sisters, Mrs. Lyle (LaVonne) Kruschke of New Richmond, Mrs. Sam (Dolly) Bridges and Linda Brown, both of Star Prairie, and 16 grandchildren. Matthew Webster of Stillwater was her fiancé.
Services were Thursday, July 6 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Somerset.
