Services Held For Pearl Graham, 83

Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Graham, 83, longtime resident of this area,
were held Saturday afternoon in the Community Presbyterian Church in Jordan
with the Rev. Charles L. Strawn officating. Music was under the direction of
Heidi Gasser and Helen Schmidt.

Mrs. Graham died Monday, Dec. 5th at the Garfield County hospital following a
period of failing health.

Pearl B. Graham was born Pearl B. Blagg, December 23, 1882 in Lawrence County,
Ohio. She came to Montana in 1902 and was married in Lewistown, January 3,
1903 to Thomas Graham. In 1914 they homesteaded in Garfield County. After Mr.
Graham's death in 1940 she lived for a few years at the N--N ranch near Grass
Range, then moved to Fort Peck. In 1960 she moved to Jordan and in 1964 she
moved to San Antonio, Texas, returning to Jordan by ambulance plane, May 24,
1966. From May 24, 1966 until she passed away, she was a patient in the
Garfield County hospital.

She is survived by three children-- Mrs. Pearl Linebarger, Mrs. Grace David,
and Tom Graham, all of Great Falls. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, 18
great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Cynthis Denner, Springfield, Ohio, Mrs.
Maude Barnes, Spokane, Washington, and many friends who were enriched by her
giving and caring. She created beauty-- everywhere a weed would grow she
planted a flower.

Pallbearers were Jerome Saylor, Waldo Bently, Jack Burner, Woodrow Saylor,
Edgar Riley and Earl C. Trotten.

Burial was in the family lot of Pioneer Cemetery in Jordan. Stevenson's Miles
City Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
