ROTH, HANEY, NORQUAY, KILLED IN AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT

Manuel Roth, 36; Richard Haney, 21; and Shirly Norquay, 18, died violent deaths
early Thursday afternoon, on March 20th, on Highway 22 about four miles north
of Cohagen.

The automobile accidnet happened about 1:15 p.m. Thursday afternoon when the
two cars, one driven by Roth and the other by Haney, collided. There was such
a terrific impact that the engine of the Roth car tore through the car driven
by Haney. The motor of the Haney car was torn completely loose and came to
rest some 30 feet from the wreck.

Roth was heading for Jordan while Haney and Shirley Norquay, Haney's
sister-in-law, were driving toward Miles City.

Haney Obituary

Richard Haney was born February 11, 1937 at Jordan. He attended schools in
Jordan and Hamilton and was married to the former Betty Norquay of Hamilton on
June 9, 1957. He is survived by his wife, Betty, an expectant mother; his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Haney of Jordan; four sisters, Mrs. Dave Hustad of
Brusett, Barbara Haney and Patsy of Miles City and Mrs. Bob Shelton, of Gold
Hill, Ore., and two brothers, Frank of Jordan and Alfred Haney Jr. of
Cambridge, Idaho. Haney had been employed as a derrick man for the Taylor
Drilling Co.
