Finding information on Zakarine has proved difficult but the following is believed to be accurate. From Family History Library microfilm #0,125,103, Hemnes, Book 7, p91, Zakarine, was the Illegitimate daughter of Ole Stephan from Dalosen and mother Kirstina Maria Handsdr. Her name was spelled Zacharina and she was, born 21 May 1817. Witnesses to her christening were Kirstina Kristopherdtr from Dikelstad, Margaritha Hansdatter from Dalosen, Johanna Johnsdtr from Dalosen, Ole Jensen from Dalosen, Jakob Jensen from Dalolsen, Elias Hanson from Dalosen. It is likely she was deceased when Olaf and Jens emigrated in 1898--Nels Sr. doesn't tell them to visit her before they leave. This may be her death record: Death an Burial Records, 1895, for Nordland County, Herøy in Herøy, Parish Register (copy), page 168.

1883 Alive when she visits Nels Jenson, Sr. & Jensine after Karine's birth.
1884 Zakarine returns to Nesna.
Nels Sr. wrote "My mother left in the spring of 1884 to Næsne. She and Jensine couldn’t get along very well any more, and my family got too big for me to keep my mother. It does not make me happy that she had to go out and start making her own living in her old age."
1895 Hans Olai Olsen dies 20 May 1895 (residence Nesna)
1898 Likely deceased - Grampa Jenson doesn't tell Olaf and Jens to visit her before they left Norway for Hudson.
