Miles City:- Martin Allen Derenberger, 62, Cohagen, died Monday at Miles City after a heart attack.
He was born Nov. 28, 1910, at Sugar Creek, Missouri, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Derenburger. The family homesteaded near Jordan in 1916 and he had operated the family ranch until moving to Miles city in 1950. He farmed in the Yellowstone Valley 13 years and also worked at Ft. Keogh and for Miles City Beverage. In 1963 he purchased the Cohagen Bar. On Dec. 23, 1934, he married Clara Spracklin in Jordan.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge, Moose Lodge and the Sacred Heart Church.
Survivors include the widow; two sons, Gene and Daniel, both of Miles City; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Bastian, Miles City, and Mrs. Marne Goddard, Forsyth; three brothers, Roy, Peotia, Ariz., Clifford, Billings, and Coy, Glendale, Ariz; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Lamphier, Glasgow, and Mrs. Mildred Kemp, Jordan; and eight grandchildren.
Requium mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rosary will be said 7 p.m. Friday at Stevensons Funeral Home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
