Lea's mother was born in Warsaw, Poland; her father in Vienna, Austria. Brothers and sisters were: Vratislav, William (1886- ), Frank (1899- ), Joseph (1901-1969), and Marie, all born in White Russia where her father was a farmer. She came to America with her parents in 1907. They settled first at Wagner, South Dakota. They came to Montana, settling in the Cohagen area, in 1911. Her hobbies include reading and gardening.

LUDMILA (MORGAN) HAWKINSON
Ludmila (Morgan) Hawkinson, age 102, of Northridge, California, formerly of Jordan, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2001, in Northridge.
Ludmila was born on May 5, 1898 in Zelowia, Russia, the daughter of Joseph and Sophia (Jelinek) Pluhar. They arrived in the United States on June 4, 1907.
She married Edward J. Morgan in 1919 in Miles City, Montana. Following their marriage they homesteaded at Skunk Arroa area near Cohagen. In 1934 Edward passed away and Ludmilla continued to operate the family ranch with her family.
Ludmilla married J. Al Hawkinson in 1952. Al died in 1964 and Ludmilla remained in Jordan for several years. Ludmila lived for several years near her son Edward and wife Hazel in Socorro, New Mexico and then moved to Northridge, California, where Pat and Helen cared for her until she was placed in a private nursing home where she passed away.
She is survived by two sons: Edward C. Morgan and his wife Hazel of Socorro, New Mexico and Pat Morgan and his wife Helen of Northridge, California; a daughter, Dorothy Woolhiser of Forsyth, Montana; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, four Hawkinson grandchildren who she considered her own, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Edward J. Morgan and Al Hawkinson, one son, Leo Morgan, and two grandchildren, Mary Ellen Morgan and Steven Morgan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 16, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Jordan with Father Leo McDowell as celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow in the family lot in the Pioneer Cemetery. Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home of Jordan is in charge of arrangements.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to a charity of their own.
