Bertha Anderson, 91, of River Falls, a former Hudson resident, died Monday, August 7, at Lakeview Memorial hospital in Stillwater.
For the past 19 years, Mrs. Anderson has been residing with her daughter, Mrs. Frank (Anna) Krueger. She was the widow of the late Andrew N. Anderson, who died in 1959.
The funeral was at 10 a.m. Wedneday, August 9, at the Swanson Funeral Home in Hudson, with the Rev. Arland C. Averill of United Methodist church, officiating.
During the service, Miss Emma Engebretson sang accompanied on the organ by Mrs. J. Thomas Johnston.
Interment was in the West Immanuel Lutheran Church cemetery near Star Prairie.
Pallbearers were Gregory and Steven Sutter, Roger, Thomas, Richard and Val George Dierks.
Bertha Haugen was born in Sundralund, Norway, April 25, 1887 and came to the United States in 1911.
She was married to Andrew Nels Anderson in 1912, and they lived in Hudson until they moved to St. Joseph township, where they farmed for 32 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Krueger and Mrs. William (May) Dierks of Deer Park, a son, Bernard Anderson of North Canton, Ohio; eight grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
