Carroll Brandt

Carroll and Ethel had no children of their own. They first adopted Marjorie and Bill, and in late 1940 or early 1941 after a tragic fire at the Vernon Gilland home (Vernon being a son of Rosella Brandt Gilland), Jean and Dennis
Gilland came to live with them.

Carroll J. Brandt
Services for Carroll J. Brandt, 75, of Alden Township, Wis., who died there unexpectedly Wednesday, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Zion Lutheran Church, Farmington, Wis. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Farmington.
Mr. Brandt was a lifelong resident of Alden Township, where he farmed until his retirement a few years ago. He was a member of the Alden Town Board for many years and was active in other community affairs.
Survivors include his widow, Ethel; two sons, William, Deer Park, Wis., and Dennis of Cheney, Wash.; and two daughters, Mrs. John Kastens and Mrs. Jean Gilland, both of St. Paul.
Visitation at Paulson-Geveing Funeral Home, Osceola.
