Lambert G. Baumgartner, 52, superintendent of the Rosemount, Minnesota public school died December 17 at University hospital, Minneapolis, after five weeks illness with nephritis.
Funeral services were largely attended at St. Joseph's Catholic church, Rosemount. Interment was in St. Joseph's cemetery.
Lambert G. Baugmartner was born March 7, 1906 at Bird Island, Minnesota, a son of William and Theresa (Schulte) Baumgartner. Je attended St. Mary's grade and high school, Bird Island, from 1913 to 1925. He attended St. Thomas College, St. Paul, 1925 to 1929; later he took post graduate work at the University of Minnesota.
On July 22, 1940, he was united in marriage with Katherine F. Casanova, daughter of Mrs. J. A. Casanova, of Hudson.
Baumgartner wa athletic director and science teacher at Morgan, Minnesota, 1929-30; athletic director, science teacher and hgh school principal at Melrose, Minnesota, 1930-40; superintendent of schools at Rosemount 1940 to present.
Survivors are his wife; two children, Mary Ann, 16; Jerome Anthony, 11 years; his mother at Olivia, Minnesota; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Conway and Mrs. Harry Heaney, both of Olivia; nine brothers: Harold and Othmar of Bird Island; Firmin and Clarence of Olivia; Richard and William of Bemidji; cyril of St. Cloud; Dr. Florian of Albany, Minnesota; Benedict of Minneapolis.
