Rigdon born in Rock Island IL and is the son of Amos Walker and Mary Abbott 'natives of KY'. They farmed in Grundy Co. IA. In 1882 they moved to Reno Co. KS. In 1895 they moved to about seven miles north of Enid OK. Rachel and Rigdon are both buried at Enid Cemetery, Enid OK. Rigdon served in the Civil War with the 102nd Illinois Infantry.
