Lived in Florence SC and possibly Aiken SC. Lucile is buried in Dew cemetery near Conway SC. Walker is buried at Penninsula Memorial Cemetery Park, Warwick VA in the plot next to his daughter, Ruby Mae Avant Vassar. Walker's brother Archie is also buried there. Walker is the son of William J. Avant and Rosa May Hodges. After Lucile died, Walker married to Lucco Verele Sansbury, who had been the care giver of Lucile and her children while she was ill. Half siblings of the four original children of Walker and Lucile were born to Walker and Lucco. They are Richard Lorenza Avant b. 8/24/42, Sue Ann Avant Smith b. 12/30/47, Sandra Lee Avant McElhenie b. 3/1/40 d. 5/17/11 (lymphoma; Cremated); and William Michael Avant b. 3/28/1950. (As of 2017, Half siblings William (Virginia), Sue (S.C),and Richard (California OR Georgia) are still alive)
