Richard Wade

Richard Wade, the yougest of Robert Wade's sons inherited the home plantation "Friendship" after the death of his mother. He left no imventory or settlement of his estate; but his death may be placed between February 6, 1738 and March 14, 1738, as he made a deed gift dated February 6, 1738, of a negro girl named Beck, aged 8 years, to be delivered to his daughter at age 18, said deed being recorded March 14, 1738. His children being only 5 years and 19 months of age respectively, it was necessary to appoint a guardian. William Elibeck, who married his wife's sister was named. The children were also named in the wills of their uncles, Zachary and John Edgar Wade and that of the afore said William Elibeck.
