John Beall died single by 1711. "The Barrens" which he patented in that portion of Charles County that became Prince Georges County is mentioned in two deeds in 1713 and 1715 as the property of Thomas Truman Greenfield (PGLR F.253, 460). John may have been a carpenter, as his brother Thomas, a carpenter, left him all his working tools in his will written in 1707
