Notes
Marriage
Married out of unity in the Tohicken reformed church. but by acknowledgement of her error, Elizabeth was granted a certificate to the MM at Frederick, MD on Aug 16, 1781.Event
came to Tenmile, settled on land purchased by his father. The first cabin of the pioneer Burson was built at the head of a hollow that runs from Tenmile Creek towards the house later built by Abraham Burson. This hollow was named "Wolf's Den". The cabin had only a blanket for a door.
The cabin was a few hundred yards from the site of the Rofelty massacre, but the only inconvenience the Bursons suffered was the loss of a pot of beans Mrs. Burson fed to the Indians when they left the scene of the murder.
