Came to America as an indenture, but was styled a gentleman. This shows he was a scion of the English gentry. He was educated in letters, which was unusual for early settlers.

Death
Thomas Hussey died at the beginning of the eighteenth century, and by his will, proved October 14, 1700, he devised his grandson and namesake, Thomas Hussey Luckett, 1,310 acres of land at Chingamucon (Chicamuxen) which lay in Durham Parish, the western-most portion of the county.His will was proved Oct.14, 1700, Charles County.
To grandson Thomas Hussey Luckett, 1310 acres in Chingamuxon; Dau. Eliza Luckett, extx and residuary legatee of estate, real and personal. Test: Thos. Wheechardley, Henry Harman, Phillip Harrell Ann Varnum.
