Page 115. At the request of Thomas Swann Jr, the following depositions were recorded this Feb 21, 1723.
CC. May 2, 1723. The deposition of Thomas Swann Sr of Pr. Geo: County, aged 49 years or thereabouts, concerning a bounded poplar, the 1st bound tree of a tract of land called Eaglton, lying in CC upon the branches of Piles Fresh. This deponent declares that his father (viz) Edwd Swann, about 30 years last past, took this deponent into the woods & told him he would show him the 1st bound tree of his land, for none as yet know it but himself, & showed him a bounded poplar where this deponent now is standing, by a small branch near the head of the sd branch, and told this deponent it was the first bounded tree of his land called Eaglton.

Apr 24, 1749 from Thomas Swan of PG, Gent, to Hezekiah Magruder in PG, Gent, for 6000 lbs of good, sound, merchantable leaf tobacco, part of a tract of land called Anchovies Hills, purchased of Nathaniel Magruder of PG, decd, beginning near the head of a small run near William Miles on the east line of the afd land, thence to a tract of land called the New Exchange, containing about 30 acres. The other is a parcel of land called Queksale, bounded by the line of Capt. George Jones' land, containing about 30 acres. To have and to hold, the sd parcels of land Signed - Thos. Swann. Wit - Alex. Magruder Near Mill Town, W Bright. This deed was ack. by Thomas Swan within mentioned, and Katharine, his wife. Recorded [date not given].
