"Fairfax Monthly Meeting 7th month, 30th, 1768. Benjamin Burson proposes to this meeting to make satisfaction for some past misconduct for which he was disowned, A committee is appointed to visit him on the occasion.""Benjamin Burson , having baulk'd the testimony of Truth in contributing and paying to the support of a hireling ministry which he confesseth he has done for some years and contends for the practice of looking upon it to be right and lawful--a committee is appointed to treat with him, etc. Report is: Refuses to cease paying for the support of hireling minister and ceases to be a member."

"At the monthly meeting of Fairfax held 30th of llth month, 1771."Benjamin Burson and Hannah Young appeared here and declared their intentions of marriage with each other, this being the first time. Isaac Walker and John Dark are appointed to make inquiry of the young man's conversation and clearness in relation to marriage, with others and parents consent, and make report to next meeting."
Event
Fairfax monthly meeting 26th, 12th month, 1771. Benjamin Burson and Hannah Young appeared here and signified they continued their intentions of taking each other in marriage, this being the second time and nothing appearing to obstruct their liberty to accomplish their said marriage according to the good order used among friends, Isaac Walker and John Gregg are appointed to attendto and see if it be so done and make report to next meeting and return the certificate to be recorded.

"Whereas Benjamin Burson of the County of Loudoun and Colony of Virginia, Yoeman, son of George Burson and Sarah, his wife, and Hannah Young, daughter of Hercules Young and Sarah his wife, of the County and Colony aforesaid having declared their intentions of marriage with each other before several monthly meetings of the people called Quakers, viz., at Fairfax,, in the County and Colony aforesaid according to the good order used amongst them and having consent of Parents and Relatives concerned, their said proposals of marriage was allowed of by the said Meeting."
