I, Bennett Neale Sr of Cob Neck in CC, planter, am in perfect health, sound memory & understanding, and calling to mind the uncertainty of this life, do make this, my will. Firstly, I want all my just debts paid.
To my sons Benno Neale and Edward Neale - 5 shillings sterling each and no more.
To my daughter Priscilla Neale - a Negro girl named Henry, over and above her part of my estate.
To my 5 children, James Neale, Priscilla Neale, William Neale, Henry Neale, and John Neale - the rest of my personal estate, to be equally divided between them,
To my sons James and William Neale - my right to 2 lots in the Town of Carrolsburg on Potowmack River wherein sd lots are known in the plat of the town by #6 & 218, of which lots my son James shall have his choice of one, the property of the other lot to be invested in my son William.
To Mary Buckanan - 5 £ currency.
To Elizabeth Martindale - 5 £ currency.
I want my daughter Priscilla Neale and all my other children that have no land, to have two rooms in my dwelling house their single life, and land to work a Negro for each child.
To my son James Neale - all my dwelling plantation called Gills Land, containing about 250 acres. If my son James dies without heir, then to be the property of my son William Neale. If William dies without heir, then to be the property of my son, Henry Neale. If Henry dies without heir, then to be the property of my son, John Neale. If my son John dies without heir, then to be the property of my daughter Priscilla Neale.
I nominate my friends John Lancaster Jr and Thomas Lancaster, Trustees, to settle my estate between my 5 children, as above.
Executors: my son James Neale.

Probated Jan 5, 1789 by the executor and by the oaths of witnesses Joseph Lancaster Jr and Benjamin Lancaster. Bennet Neale Jr, the heir at law, was present when the forgoing probate was taken & did not object to the taking of the same.
On Jan 5, 1789, Letters Testamentary were granted to James Neale Jr; his securities were Bennet Neale Jr & Joseph Lancaster Jr.
