May 25, 1757 from Bennet Hanson Clements of Charles County Maryland & John Sanders, Mattiwoman in Charles County MD, planters, to Bayne Smallwood, for 12,000 lbs of crop tobacco & for divers other good causes, all that moiety or one half part of a tract of land called "Simpson Supply", lying on the south side of Piscotoway river (Creek) & on a south side of a creek in sd river called Mattiwoman or South Thomases Creek, next adjoining to Christian Temple Manor, laid out for Thomas Allison, containing & laid out for about 100 acres. Know that Joseph Johnson of Charles County Maryland, for 1900 lbs of crop tobacco (being part of a bond I gave Dr. David Ross sometime ago & Bennet Hanson Clements joined therein as security) have sold to said Clements of Charles County, 4 cows, 2 yearlings, 9 hogs, & 2 cow hides. the true intent of this instrument of writing is to secure said Bennet Hanson Clements the afd sum of 1900 lbs of tobacco and that said Clements does par said Ross the sum of 1900 lbs of crop tobacco.Signed Feb 20, 1758 - Joseph Johnson

Aug 8, 1759 from Thomas Matthews Sanders of Charles County Maryland, planter, to Bennet Hanson Clements of Charles County Maryland, planter, for 50 lbs ponds sterling, and for divers other good causes, part of a tract of land called "St Matthews", which was devised to the said Thomas Matthews Sanders by the will of Thomas Sanders, father of the said Thomas Matthew Sanders, containing about 200 acres.
