Death
Kate M. Furr, 100, of Merritt Island, Florida, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2010, at Island Health and Rehabilitation Center, having been in failing health for several years. Mrs. Furr was born July 10, 1909, in Greenville, Virginia, Augusta County and was the daughter of Ace V. Painter and Mary Fauber Painter. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Wright Robertson of Waynesboro; five grandchildren, Cheryl Robertson, Richard Robertson Jr., both of Virginia, Michael Wright, Richard Wright and Denny Wright, all of Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; and son, James. Mrs. Furr was a member of the Baptist Faith. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2010, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home and Crematory, Leesburg , Florida.Published in The News Virginian on January 23, 2010
