Death
Irene (Webb) Moyers, 107, of Hinton, passed away, Thursday, May 17th, 2007, peacefully at her home. Mrs. Moyers was born in Edom, VA, on September 13, 1899, and was a daughter of the late John William E. and M Sally (Whisler) Webb. She was a homemaker, and a member of Mt. Olive Presbyterian Church, Hinton, VA. She was united in marriage on January 1920, to Martin Lee Moyers, who died March 1, 1969. She is survived by four daughters, Shirley M. Lilly of Hinton, Margie M. Roller of Bridgewater, Sally M. Furr and husband Athel B (Sonny) of Harrisonburg, and Lucille M. Pennington of Hinton. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 25 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, Charles Richard Moyers, William Conrad Moyers, Berlin Lee Moyers, one daughter, Betty Lee Justice, and one grandchild. A funeral service will be conducted at the Johnson Funeral Service Chapel, Bridgewater, 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 20th with Pastor W.L. (Sonny) Henkel, officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Clinton Mennonite Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 8 p.m., at the Johnson Funeral Service. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be given to Mt. Olive Presbyterian Church Building Fund, c/o Carolyn Eye, 379 Monarch Lane, Dayton, VA. 22821.Endnotes
