Death
Staunton - Bernard Clyde Knicely Sr., 76, of Churchville died Tuesday morning at King's Daughters' Hospital. Mr. Knicely was born in Centeville July 3, 1895 and was a son of the late George Robert and Amanda Wiseman. He was a salesman of Coiner Parts,an automobile parts firm, and was a member of Staunton Church of the Brethren. Surviving are his wife, the former Violet Phillips; a daughter, Mrs. Rosebud K. Crotts of Laurel, Md; four sons, B. C. Knicely Jr. of Churchville, Carroll F. Knicely of Glasgow, Ky., Larry Knicely of Mint Spring and Vicki V. Knicely of Staunton; a sister, Mrs. Ida Higgins of Bridgewater; a brother, James Knicely of Fishersville; 12 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday at the Hamrick Funeral Home in Staunton by the Rev. Alton L. McDaniel. Burial will be in Mill Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Floyd N. Siple, Raymond H. Sensabaugh, Harold Wine, Jim Stickley, Vic Peyton and Clifford Hevener.Daily News Record, Harrisonburg, Virginia, October 6, 1971
