A Mass of Christian burial for Katherine Elizabeth Furr, 86, of Rochelle in Madison County will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at Our Lady of the Blue Ridge Catholic Church in Madison. The Rev. John F. Morel will officiate and burial will follow in Culpeper Masonic Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church. Mrs. Furr died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at her residence. She was the widow of Joseph Gouverneur Furr. She was employed with the Department of Navy for over 20 years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Blue Ridge Catholic Church and was a volunteer at the Literacy Council in Madison. Survivors include three sons, Joseph G. Furr Jr. and John A. Furr, both of Rochelle and Douglas G. Furr of Orange; a sister, Margaret Frazier of Rockville, Md.; and three grandchildren.
