Death
MORTON, Pamela (Furr) age 60 of Centerville, passed away at home Friday, May 11, after more than three years fighting kidney cancer. Pam was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandma and friend. She dedicated her life to her family and was an honorary mom to many people throughout her life. Pamela is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years Michael Morton, and their children: Erika (Christian) Mattingly of West Carrollton; Jesse (Galia) Morton of Virginia Beach, Va.; Luke (Tiana) Morton of Batavia; Perry (Masha) Morton of Arlington, Va.; Roger Morton of Columbus; Toney (Lindsey) Morton of Chicago, Il. She also doted on her grandchildren: Emma, Kora & Sawyer Mattingly; Lucia, Miguel & Ramon Morton; Seaenna, Ariana, Troy & Lyla Morton; Micah Morton, and one more on the way. She is survived by her father James Furr and his wife Bobbie, and her siblings: Patricia Thompson, Garry Furr (Daphne), Stan Furr, Terry Furr and their families. She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Jane Furr, and her brother Van Furr. She and her high-school sweetheart loved to travel. She had a passion for home décor and design: transforming at least eight homes over the years. She filled her life with good friends, great food, beautiful flowers, and lots of books. She served as a volunteer on many church, school, and community boards in several cities including Vandalia, Lebanon, Centerville, Sidney and Hudson, Ohio. Pamela was a graduate of Vandalia Butler High School, Class of 1970. A celebration of her life will be held at David's United Church of Christ, 170 West David Road, Dayton, OH 45429 at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 19. The family will receive guests following the service.
