Death
Beulah Mae Furr, 67, of Bealeton, died Monday, April 10, 2006 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. She was born November 13, 1938 in Bealeton, to the late Hubert Egbert and Lilly Sisk Jenkins. She is survived by five children, Diane Katcher and her husband, Tom of Elkwood, Robert Clarence "Pete" Martin of Keen Mountain, James Garfield "Buddy" Whitmer, Jr. and his wife, Brenda Lynn of Culpeper, Viki M. Shumaker and her husband, Buddy of Amissville, and Pamela Sisk of Culpeper. Additional survivors include her siblings, Hubert Jenkins of Bealeton, Mr. and Mrs. Roger (G.B.) Jenkins of Gaithersburg, MD, Phyllis Ford of Culpeper, Ruth Embrey of Morrisville, and Margie Haught of Elkwood, and grandchildren, Victoria Moore, Jennifer Martin, Jamie Whitmer, Robbie Whitmer, Amberlie Shumaker, Brittany Shumaker; one very special grandchild who will always be with them in heart and soul, Devin Myers; and five great grandchildren, Nechell Brooks, Caleyah Brooks, Angel Dove, Adam Moore, and Danielle Moore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Caroll, James, Charles Jenkins; one sister, Edna Jenkins; one granddaughter, Emily Nicole Woodward; and one grandson, Brandon Shumaker. Pallbearers will be Steve Foushee, Neil Stribling, Ronnie Frazier, Kevin Moore, Joe Manneh, and Buck Whitmer. The family will receive friends for Mr. and Mrs. Furr on Friday, April 14, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 15, at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Carl Menefee, Pastor Charles Clinedinst, and Steve Foushee officiating. Interment will follow in Remington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in their name to Lois Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 137, Bealeton VA, 22712.
