Death
Velma L. Furr, 69, of 2230 Taft Circle, Winchester, died June 26, 1990 in Winchester Medical Center. The funeral was held June 29 at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester with the Rev. David A. Goodpasture officiating. Burial was in Shenandoah Memorial Park. Mrs. Furr was born Jan. 25, 1921, in Clark County, the daughter of the late Horace B. and Grace Tomblin McDonald Smallwood. She was a graduate of Boyce High School and a member of the Braddock Street United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, George S. Furr; one daughter, Linda Sheehan of Stephens City; and one sister, Evalina Huff of Front Royal. Pallbearers were Jackie Thompson, Todd Smedley, Timmy Smedley, Jackie Furr, Steve Cullers and Freddie Anderson. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Fund, P.O.
