Death
PLYMOUTH — William M. Furr, 56, of Baseline Road, Plymouth, died Thursday morning at Mercy Hospital in Willard after a short illness. He was born Oct. 4, 1937, in Mansfield to John M. and Viola Carpenter Furr, both now deceased. He was a lifetime resident of Plymouth, Mr. Furr was a truck driver for Kaple Lumber Co, of Shiloh for 40 years and served as an umpire for Plymouth and area Little League baseball games. He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Vetress Neeley Furr; four sons, William Jr. of Plymouth, Robert of Willard, Jerry and Larry, both of Plymouth; three grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Beverly and Bonita Greathouse, both of Plymouth, and Virginia West of Willard; and three brothers, John, out of state, Tom of Willard, and Roger of Greenwich. Friends may call Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at the Secor Funeral Home, 35 Railroad St., Plymouth, where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rey. S.T. Adkins officiating.
