Marriage
The marriage of Miss Mary K. Strother to Mr. Charles C. Furr, both of Paris, Va., took place Thursday evening last at the home of the bride's cousin, Mrs. J. W. Dawson, of 213 Twelfth street southwest. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. J. C. Hawk, of Marvin M. E. Church South. The parlor was tastefully decorated with palms and cut flowers. The bride wore a charming traveling suit of dark blue, with silk hat to match. The wedding march was rendered by Miss Marguerite L. Dawson. Only the immediate families were present. Mr. and Mrs. Furr left immediately after the ceremony for Niagara Falls and Canada.Death
On Sunday, November 25, 1962, at Surburban Hospital, KATHRYN STROTHER FURR, beloved wife of the late Charles Clayton Furr; mother of Mrs. Agnes V. Teunis and Charles S. Furr. She also is survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the DeVol Funeral Home, 2222 Wisconsin ave. nw., where services will be held on Wednesday, November 28, at 11 a. m. Interment Glenwood Cemetery.Endnotes
