Death

Ronald Kevin Coffing, 82, of Crawfordsville, passed away on December 3, 2016. He was born May 10, 1934, in Fountain County, In. Ronald served in the United States Army and later became a Machinist with Sommers Metal Craft of Crawfordsville, In. He attended Woodland Heights Christian Church and was a member of the American Legion Post 72. He enjoyed dancing, boating, and camping with his family. Ronald is survived by his wife Carolyn J. Coffing; sons Brian Coffing of Indianapolis, Kevin Coffing of Attica, Chuck Crowder (Christy) of Crawfordsville, Rick Crowder (Deb) of Lafayette; daughters Coleen Wood (Cliff) of Rensselaer, and Tina Amstutz (Roger) of Crawfordsville; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Ordin and Emilly Coffing, and brother Terry Coffing of Attica, In. Services with military honors will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Burkhart Funeral Home, 300 S. Grant Ave Crawfordsville, led by Pastor Steve Wilke. The family will greet visitors from Noon until the time of service, followed by graveside at Oak Hill Cemetery South, 429 S.R. 32 W. Crawfordsville.
